Street Medics 101: Fighting the State, Taking Care of Each Other with Toronto Street Medics

The Alternatives to 911 Community Skillbuilding Series is BACK with a new session facilitated by our comrades at @torontostreetmedics! Join us and learn how we can fight the state and take care of each other!

In this workshop, @torontostreetmedics will delve into the lineages and ethics of street medicking, including bodily autonomy, harm reduction, and collective care. Participants will leave with practical knowledge and skills, and an abolitionist framework for collective safety/risk considerations around calling EMS for medical emergencies, particularly in the context of protests and direct actions.

ASL interpretation will be provided.
